This Week's News
PLTW: (Project Lead the Way) Thank you all for your input on PLTW. We'll be taking your feedback to Dr. Westfall, who will use that input to make a district decision on which option to plan on for next year. I wanted to clarify this, as I may have presented it as it was an RV decision and I want you all to know how the decisions are being made. We'll keep you posted. Info on Training: One Summer / One Fall. There will be stipends and make up dates for training. Here is a video made by LC.
NEE Summatives: Jessica and I will be meeting next week with nontenured teachers to review your NEE summative reports. We will be meeting in the next month with tenured teachers. While this is only required for tenured teachers who are on the evaluation cycle, we feel everyone will benefit from this summative conversation. Let us know if you have questions.
Guest Visit: Dr. Corum and Mr. Sutton from NKC enjoyed their visit and were impressed with what they saw and learned. We highlighted our Leader in Me Service Projects, our Data Teams, our technology integration and our approach to RTI. You all do great work for children and it's fun to share that with others!!
Lexia: So many of our students are really enjoying Lexia. For students who are using this program, be sure to check their usage report. It lets you know which students are meeting their usage recommendations. If you have a struggling student, increasing their time on Lexia is a great way to strengthen this intervention.
