"Tell me I forget. Teach me I remember. Involve me I learn."
Our Journey's selection this week is a segment of the book Old Yeller by Fred Gipson. We are focusing on understanding characters and visualizing to better our comprehension skills. Our essential question is 'Can nature bring out the best in a character?". On Friday of next week (1/15) we will take our vocabulary, comprehension, and grammar tests for lesson 7.
In writing this week, we began work with creating strong topic sentences. We will continue work with topic sentences next week before moving on to multi-paragraph essays.
PATHS Kids of the Week
Ryanne's classmates say she is kind, clever, athletic, funny, and a good friend. Ryanne is such an important part of our class and we appreciate her positive attitude as we enter each day!
