Learning About Shapes in 2nd Grade
Grade 2 students have been learning about two-dimensional shapes and math vocabulary words such as attributes, polygons, rhombus, quadrilaterals, halves, thirds, and fourths. Using cut-out colored tangrams and then pattern blocks, students created polygons and were introduced to fractions and equal parts of a shape. Amazing thinking and sharing of ideas during math!
