As your children become fully vaccinated for Covid-19, please bring a record of the vaccinations to the office so that they can be entered into the Student Information System along with all of their prior vaccination records. (You may bring the card and have our office staff copy it, bring the copy yourself, or take a picture and send it to Mrs. Gies: lgies@petk12.org.)

Students who are fully vaccinated (2 weeks after the second dose) will not have to quarantine or modify-quarantine should they be exposed to Covid at school.

Do you have an incoming TK or kindergarten student for the 2022-23 school year? Know someone who does? Perfect! Come join us on Tuesday, December 14th at 6 pm to hear about campus life and all things #pennpanthers! Please note that due to COVID protocols, we are asking for each household to send only ONE representative to our info night. We'd like to hold our event in a kindergarten classroom but don't want to get TOO cozy! Masks are required on campus at all times. In order to keep our group size manageable, we are asking that you RSVP so we can break into two groups if needed. See you on December 14th!

If the timing of our info night does not work with your schedule, or you're feeling under the weather, please don't stress! There will be plenty of opportunities for you to connect with us in the coming months. We will be hosting a virtual info night on Wednesday, January 19th at 7:30 pm. If this option sounds better to you than the in-person info night, please indicate that preference below, and a Zoom link will be emailed to you prior to the event.

Campus tours (for adults only) will be available throughout January and February.

Good news 1st - 6th grade families!

In an effort to give you a few extra minutes in your morning and improve our traffic flow, we have adjusted our morning supervision schedule. Effective immediately, you may drop off your 1st - 6th grader beginning at 7:55 a.m. From 7:55 - 8:10 a.m, 1st - 6th grade students may enjoy a supervised before school recess. Teachers will continue to open their classroom doors at 8:10 a.m. If you arrive at or after 8:10, your child should walk directly to class. As a reminder, the school day begins at 8:20 a.m. We will continue to follow our current masking practices (all students fully masked) at both drop off and before school recess.

We hope this news relieves some of the morning rush!

Jon Agee will be visiting Penngrove next Tuesday to share his new book, Otto, A Palindrama. The visit is geared to 3rd-6th grades. We will be having the assembly in the Multi starting at 1:15. Students will be seated with their classes and distanced from other classes. Everyone will be masked.

Families who want to purchase the book may do it through this link. The password is Penngrove. It looks like you are buying a ticket, but $12.00 is the price of the book. There will also be paper order forms available in the office. Those can be filled out and returned with cash or a check made out to Copperfields.

Jon Agee is the author/illustrator of many acclaimed books for children, including the Boston Globe-Horn Book Honor winner It's Only Stanley and the ALA Notable Books Little Santa, Terrific, Milo's Hat Trick, and The Incredible Painting of Felix Clousseau, and a series of popular wordplay books including the IRA-CBC Children's Choice book of palindromes, Go Hang a Salami! I'm a Lasagna Hog! Jon grew up along the Hudson River in Nyack, New York, and went to college at the Cooper Union School of Art in New York City, where he studied painting and filmmaking. Now a full-time author, he lives in San Francisco with his wife, Audrey.
