In December, many classes will continue to learn about Bullying Prevention- specifically refusal behaviors that may be utilized to support self and others (being an upstander) and will also begin to explore gratitude. Students in grades 3 and 5 will be taught about the brain and its role in self-regulation. In November, we continued to review comparing and contrasting bullying behavior and a one-time conflict. We learned about how to report and who trusted adults are in the school and at home that students would report to. We also began to discuss behaviors supportive of the refusal of bullying. Links for supplemental activities that are optional at home to support the classroom learning are below.
Small groups that meet during lunches have begun and will continue throughout the year. If you feel that your child could benefit from some additional information/exploration and you have not requested this yet please complete the Google form to let Ms. Jeananne Shultz know.
If you have any questions or just want to talk about support for your child, please call or email Ms Jeananne Shultz.
