Top 5 Tips & Tools for Spicing Up Your Next Presentation
Are you looking for some fresh ideas on making your next presentation? Do you find yourself stuck in a rut or just continuing to return to your same old ways of presenting. Here are some tips and tools that may help bring new life to your next presentation.
Tips
- Rehearse Your Presentation- You may feel that you know what you are going to share when the time comes but rehearsing your presentations pays big dividends. Take the time to write out a script and practice.
- Use as Many Slides as You Need- It is common to think that less slides is better. What is more important is how well the slides communicate your message. With the right verbal message the few words on a slide can emphasize your point.
- Use Great Visuals- Find wonderful copyright-free images using Flickr or Google. Be sure to use the advanced search feature. http://www.flickr.com/creativecommons/
- Display Few Words- Choose your words carefully for each slide for deeper impact. There is no need to have a paragraph of information in most cases.
- Choose Transitions Carefully- Don't overuse transitions. Often times they become more of a distraction.
