Message from our Teaching & Learning Department

We appreciate the understanding, support, and feedback as we have just started our first-ever implementation of e-learning with our students. Students this week were provided lessons from our adopted curricular resources that were aligned to grade-level standards. Your 1st through 8th-grade children should have received an email from Educere about the online digital self-paced resource we wrote to you about last night. You can find an information link for Educere here.

Dr. Ryan, the assistant superintendent for Teaching & Learning, will continue to provide updates as we transition from an on-ground school system to a distance learning organization.

Month of the Military Child Update

North Shore School District will be closed through April 13th, therefore, Sherwood's Month of the Military Child Committee has been working on finding new ways to celebrate during the month of April! We will be adjusting our MOMC timeline of events as well as sharing more information about how we can continue to connect and celebrate virtually. Stay tuned!

Audible Stories - Free!

Message from Audible (and Mrs. Weiss):

For as long as schools are closed, we're open. Kids everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids. All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

Thank you Mrs. Weiss for sharing this resource!!!

Second Step Resource for Families

As a district, we use Second Step as our social emotional curriculum. While we are engaging in e-Learning over the next few weeks, Second Step has been kind enough to provide e-Resources for not only our staff, but also for our families!
