CULTURE
In the Provence of Quebec the language they speak is French the language of love.The culture of Quebec emerged over the last few hundred years,resulting Predominantly from the shared history of the French North American Majority in Quebec. Quebec City's 400th anniversary was celebrated in 2008.It's the oldest French speaking community in North America.
THE CARNIVAL
Normally they have a special carnival every year within March to April to celebrate what is good in life and how happy they are to be living in such a great place.
FLAME THROWER
One of the thing that they love to do during the carnival is to sit down and watch a talented Flame thrower well throw flames. It is very interesting once you and sitting down and you have nothing on your mind and all your doing is focusing on the flames.
TENTS
I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one that likes a good camping trip but this is not a trip. Back a long time ago this is what they used to live in little tents that are held up with nothing but a stick on the inside.
GEOGRAPHY
Quebec is the largest Canadian province in terms of area and it can be found on the map east of Ontario. Quebec City is the capital of Quebec.Quebec occupies a vast territory nearly three times the size of France most of which is pretty sparsely populated More than 90% of Quebec's area includes the greater part of the Labor Peninsula.Quebec Cities location is at the intersection of the saint Lawrence and the saint Charles river.
HISTORY
The Quebec provincial flag was adopted on January 21,1948.The flags design has a white cross and 4 fleur-delis on a blue background.The word Quebec is and Algonquin word meaning where the river narrows.Quebec joined the Canadian Confederation in 1867. Quebec has played a special role in French history.The modern province occupies much of the land where French settlers founded the colony of Canada (New France) in the 17th and 18th centuries. Jacques Cartier,a French explorer landed here in 1535. It wasn't until 1608 when Samuel de Champlain arrived that a permanent wooden fort and fur trading post were set up.
FOOD
Many restaurants and pubs in Quebec will feature French dishes like Coq-Au-vin,Beef Burgundy,Pea Soup,and French Onion Soup.They also feature Quebecois Specialties such as a Tourtiere,Poutine,a Montreal smoked meat sandwich,and Montreal Beagles.
COQ AU VIN
Coq Au Vin is a french dish that is most lived by its people it is mostly served at the french restaurants that love to eat it it is filled with the best spices you could ever imagine with perfectly backed chicken and some great veggies.
BEEF BURGUNDY
Beef Burgundy is a nice appetizer that is a soup that I'm sure you would love to try. It has fresh carrots backed beans and a tinted souse that only the chef knows how to make.
PEA SOUP
Pea soup and appetizer that is quite filling. you can taste the perfect beans and the freshly cut veggies. Pea Soup is one of Quebec's main foods they love and appreciate it when they get it because it is very hard to find these days.
PLACES TO VISIT
There are many great places to visit in Quebec. Quebec is mostly high and low but the majority is warm and if it was that warm i would go to the best beaches in Quebec. One of the most popular beaches in Quebec is Plage De I'Horloge Beach. Another great place to visit is Quebec City it is a nice little town that has a lot of great places to go. The last thing is is Restaurant Le Continental a nice little restaurant that mostly serve foods that are very little but most enjoyable.
PLAGE DE L'HORLOGE BEACH
The Plage De I'Horloge Beach is also known as the Clock Tower Beach. The nice clean waters is like no other it is as Clean as ocean water can get and that is because they do not litter and mostly there are not much oil spills.
QUEBEC CITY
This city is filled with wonderful people that walk the streets day and night. It is mostly filled with travelers but most times people that live there. Quebec city has wonderful restaurants that you can sit down and enjoy a great meal.
RESTAURANT LE CONTINENTAL
this restaurant sits on the corner of st.Laurent Blvd and is one of the most popular places there. They mostly serve Hors D'Oeuvres which is a french dish that is mostly served with an appetizer.
