Summer is the perfect time to keep reading and enjoy all that summer has to offer. Here are some great summer reading programs for students.

PAWS Summer Reading Challenge

We ask readers to register online and pledge to read 20 minutes a day between June 1st and August 31st. Once registered, they are directed to the downloadable program materials including:


· Summer Challenge Pledge form

· Bookmark

· Coloring pages

· Reading log

· BINGO card

· Link to libraries offering virtual PAWS for Reading visits.


Registered readers who hit the magic 1000 minute mark will receive a special reward from PAWS at the end of the program.

Scholastic Book Fest

Scholastic has created a virtual book fest called Home Base that connects students with online books, authors, games and contests.

2020 Chester County Library Reading Program

Patch Power!: Encourages participants to explore new topics and complete a variety of activities to earn patches. Children will be able to earn their patches by completing independent activities on their own, at home or library events.
