Summary
Anna, a jewish girl lived in Germany for her whole life until she was nine years old. She was too busy with her friends and schoolwork that she never noticed Adolf Hitler on posters all over. Then her father goes missing and soon after Anna and her mother and brother have to leave too. She didn't know what was going on because no one would tell her, but she was guessing it wasn't anything good and she was right. She soon learned many new things and that they were refugees. It takes special skills to stay a few steps away from the Nazis.

Why You Should Read It
This book has a great plot. It shows you how hard life can be. This book also teaches you how you should be thankful for what you have. It is a page turner, and if you don't like very long books then this book would be a great one for you to read. It is also historical fiction, and tells a little bit about the Holocaust.
