March 9, 2018
It is that wonderful time of the year when we "Spring Forward" one hour on Sunday, March 11! Longer daylight hours after work!!! This is exciting and helps us to get over the loss of the one hour of sleep on Sunday.
Please place March 25 on your calendars!!! This is our "world famous" Mustang Fest! Well, world famous to us! It is filled with lots of family fun! You do not want to miss this family opportunity! The gates open at 2:00 p.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. The week will be filled with Mustang fun. Please use the order form that PTO is sending home to order your wristbands. Adults and 4 years and under are free.
Also, please remember that Field Day was moved to Friday, March 30, as we will be in school for the weather make up day. It is an awesome day!! Please consider volunteering to work a station. More information will be coming.
Do continue to remind neighbors and new community members to register their students for 5-year old kindergarten. The child must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018. The number of registered students determines the number of teachers needed so the sooner we have registrations the more prepared we are with having staff in place. Thank you for your help with this!
Have a wonderful weekend! Read, spend time outside, and exercise with your child or children!
Yours truly,
Jan Fickling, Principal of Midway Elementary
