Rating
I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars
Star 1
I gave this star because I always loved reading the letters Devorah receives from her brothers and her cousin Sarah. I find it really cool to read all of the letters and I like hearing all about what is happening in the different places that the story takes place in. If there weren't these letters in the book you wouldn't know a lot about Adam, Morris, and Sarah. I think they play a very important role in the book and the story wouldn't be as interesting if you didn't have these letters to read all about them.
Star 2
I gave this 2nd star because I like the way the book is written in the form of a diary. Most books our by chapter but this book is by date and time. Its nice to read a book that's written in the way of a diary because its like you are reading through someone's entire life which I think is kind of cool. Even though there are some books besides Dear Canada books that are written in the form of a diary I think it is a nice change from the other books that go by chapters
Star 3
I also loved this book for the detail that is put into it. I don't think that Devorah misses one single detail about what happened during her day when she writes in her diary. I know everything that goes on and I love that because I feel like I have a better understanding for the book when Devorah writes in so much detail.
