Job Shadowing and Internship Hosting- Help Wanted!
Dear New Tech Parents,
We are looking for help in providing job shadowing experiences for our junior and senior learners. As part of our graduation requirements learners participate in career exploration by shadowing professionals in an occupation of their choice. Learners and their families are primarily responsible for finding these opportunities but several have requested help in this process.
If you, or someone you know, would be willing to host a learner for 10 to 15 hours at your place of business, please let me know! We have students interested in a variety of careers, so any occupation could be a possibility for a valuable experience for a learner. In particular, we have a large number of learners who want to shadow in the areas of programming or game design, engineering, medicine, law, graphic design, business/finance and psychology. Thank you for your support as we work to ensure our graduates are college and career ready.
