Nonverbal Communication
The significance of eye contact
Without eye contact communication wouldn't be understood
Eye contact is the most significant non-verbal element in communications. It is literally the most powerful force in daily life. It can make you cringe or it can make you happy. Some people can even speak just by looking at each other, some call it "reading eyes". Along with body language, facial expressions and proximity, eye contact says more than words ever can.
Eye contact is used every single day!!
Eye contact is used every day. We make eye contact on various occasions. For example, while talking to our parents, while communicating with our teachers and peers, or even meeting a stranger for the first time.
