UGA is looking for a Fiscal Compliance Specialist!
This Fiscal Compliance Specialist position creates and implements training programs for the College of Agriculture & Environmental Sciences’ departments, units, and centers as well as UGA county based faculty and staff. The role maintains a positive working relationship with campus based and county, district, and administrative personnel. Due to the complex nature of the organization and operations which include UGA Cooperative Extension and its county delivery service, this position helps maintain accountability of funds, both state and local, to continue the College’s reputation of credibility with stakeholders.
The position will be based out of the CAES Business Office under the leadership of the Director of Fiscal Affairs and supervision of the Business Affairs Manager. This role will receive indirect guidance from the Director of Extension County Operations, the CAES Director of Finance and Administration, and UGA’s Internal Auditing Division as appropriate.
The CAES Business Office is a college-wide support unit that reports to the Dean and Director of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. This office is responsible for the development of annual legislative budget requests, and the overview of business operations for the College’s teaching, research, and extension functions. Management, monitoring, and reporting of state, federal, and sponsored funds are performed by this office including budgeting, accounting, contracts and grants, and accountability reporting to both state and federal governments.
The Buntin Group is hiring a recent graduate for an Associate Brand Manager position!
As the Associate Brand Manager, you will support many of the day-to-day account activities and help the business leadership team manage all aspects of this super-busy account. It will be critical that you have an infectious ‘can do’ attitude - and will be passionate about doing brilliant work for our client. This individual will learn to have an exceptional understanding of the client’s business and objectives as well as how to navigate internal teams and client relationships to drive results.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates a foundational understanding of Client’s business, brand and key competitive set
- Attends or supports meetings, bringing necessary documents and providing comprehensive recap and next steps to the internal team
- Leads collation and distribution of client status reports and coordinates the day-to-day execution of marketing content with the work flow management team
- Supports senior brand management team in reporting on trends affecting client businesses, including economic, industry, competitive and cultural factors
- Attends all internal meetings, and disseminates information to team members and colleagues on project opportunities/barriers as identified by work flow team
- Oversees quality control of projects and escalates any potential risks and ensures Client approvals are obtained on all phases of a project
- Manages expectations on timing and budget, and notifies supervisor of relevant fluctuations
- Ensures the agency operates on a solid foundation by building strong relationships with cross functional teammates across the agency
- Listens and responds constructively to others’ ideas and points of view and responds positively to feedback when it is offered
- Frequently suggests methods to improve client processes that is supported by internal process
- Participates in agency training sessions to improve marketing, communications, digital and direct marketing knowledge
- Accurately maintains estimates, prepares invoicing and tracks receivables and is responsible for accurate and timely billing and approving final invoices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communications, Marketing or related discipline with 1-2 completed internships in an Advertising Agency.
- Desire to Learn. This is the entry level account management function within The Buntin Group, so you have much to learn. Be curious and find ways to get involved on projects that pique your interests.

Tripwire (a Belden company) is hiring a Software Engineer!
The software engineer will work in the Alpharetta, GA office with other engineers, both development and QA, as well as other departments as part of an Agile team to design, code, build, test, and deliver either prototype or production security software for Tripwire’s Vulnerability Management solution. This position will have the opportunity to work with front-end, back-end, and database code as well as cross team integrations.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Development will be primarily in Python and C++, with some C. You must be very strong in one of these languages.
- You must be comfortable targeting a broad range of operating systems. The primary development platform will be on Linux.
- Ideally, you will be proficient with SQL, database design and designing data structures that perform well under scale and load.
- Must be self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly collaborative and fast paced environment.
- Must be effective working in less structured, smaller team environments, taking responsibility for helping define requirements and rapidly prototyping ideas.
- Support the full range of day-to-day priorities of the team, primarily focused on software development and implementing new security research ideas.
- Contribute to testing, documenting, supporting build systems, interacting with stakeholders, etc. as needed on a small team.
- Must have the legal and ongoing right to work in the USA without sponsorship
Qualifications:
- BA/BS CS, EE, IT or equivalent industry experience
- 3-10 years product development experience using Python, C, and C++
- Javascript, Angular and UI development knowledge helpful
- Use of source control systems – SVN, GIT – very useful
- Hands-on knowledge and configuration of multiple operating systems (i.e. Unix, Linux, Windows, and Mac) required
- Knowledge of network protocols and hands-on configuration of network equipment extremely helpful
- Knowledge and experience in the field of security
- Agile process based on the SCRUM framework
- You will demonstrate clear thought processes and communicate well with technical and non-technical audiences.
- You should thrive in a collaborative environment.
- You should be a creative problem-solver, providing thoughtful approaches to challenging technical problems that solve real business needs.
