Westport Heights Elementary School: Core Values
Caring can be shown in many ways at a school. One of the ways to share Kudos across our community is to give KUDOS. When you care, you can "...spend time emphasizing the positive experiences... Just like you say “thank you” to a cashier for your change (aka “just doing their job”), giving a quick appreciation is polite, respectful, and an important part of building...relationships. It’s nice to know you are appreciated, even when it’s just the smaller moments!" [excerpt from KudosNow.com] See our Kudos of the Week below to highlight a few of those moments at WHES...
Kudos: Thank you Parents! WHES Cares. We want to take the time to give KUDOS to parents: 1- Jana Taylor - For keeping the marquee up to date and flowing with information for our school! We appreciate your willingness to help in any way possible to make our school function well. 2- To parents who turned in their meal application. We appreciate you! 3- To parents who showed up to Back to School Night last week. Your presence does make a difference in keeping home and school connected for the benefit of your child. | Kudos: Thank you Staff! WHES Cares. We want to take the time to give KUDOS to STAFF who: 1- Ms. Stark for creating a wonderful Social Emotional Page for WHES staff, parents, and students to use. The hard work you have put into sharing that resource digitally, leading the PBIS group, and creating an SEL learning space in the the school-wide assembly is appreciated. 2- Those all teachers who were all ready and prepared for Back to School Night. We know you are working hard to make sure there is equity for all learners in this remote setting including inviting parents to continue to communicate with you on a regular basis. 3- Ms. Mona and Ms. Isabel for keeping the behind the scenes support thriving! From everything to helping at the counter, entering data in MISIS, to creating documents for digital use, we know you are working hard for WHES! | Kudos: Thank you Students! WHES Cares. We want to take the time to give KUDOS to students who: 1- Try their best each and every day and do not give up when challenges occur. Your teachers, family, and school staff see when you participate and grow with each new day! 2- Have July, August, and September birthdays. We linked the names of students below for all to see. Fell free to wish them a happy birthday when you see them (even belated wishes are ok) :) |
