Live Love Learn
Congratulations Mrs. Tuffnell, it is definitely your month!
CISD Strategic Design
As you may have heard CISD will undergo a Strategic Design effort. This important work will help us collaboratively create CISD's next set of priorities from which all efforts will be aligned. Since we are nearing the end of our last strategic plan, Pinnacle 2020, this effort is timely and will give the district a renewed vision for the upcoming years.
In order for this process to be most effective, we need your input! We are intentionally creating opportunities for key stakeholder input at various points throughout the process. This will ensure we are aligned as we define our district core beliefs and set strategies on which we will focus.
There will be multiple opportunities for you to engage in this effort. Please take a moment to visit our Strategic Design webpage on the CISD website at coppellisd.com/strategicdesign for more information about how to provide your input.
To kick off this effort, we will be hosting three “Education Summits” in the next few weeks. These summits will allow stakeholders an opportunity to think about and discuss their values and vision for education. I sincerely hope you will be able to attend one of these three Education Summits.
Help us write the next chapter of Coppell ISD’s story.

News you can use...
From our Lakeside Leadership (Student Council)
Toy Drive
The Lakeside Leadership Team (Student Council) is partnering with the Coppell Lions Club to provide toys for children who would otherwise not receive holiday gifts this winter.
If you are able, we would love for you to send in any new toys you feel like you can donate. Our young leaders here at Lakeside are collecting ANY TYPE of toys or books (or gift cards) that might appeal to children up through 5th grade age.
Last year, Lakeside donated many toys and made a lasting impact on children right here in our area. Your donations are greatly appreciated!
Toys will be collected from December 4-14.
Thank you in advance.

From Mrs. McBride
Learners have been focusing on practicing empathy and kindness not only at school but in their families and community. Lakeside would love to have parents participate in our Flipgrid Experience- it is easy and fun. The Kindness Challenge is ready! This year we will be sharing our kind acts through Flipgrid. Students can respond on the flipgrid at anytime using their iPad at school or their phone at home
To get started, download Flipgrid to your iPad or Iphone(free)
Once that is downloaded use the grid code: lakesidekind or go to flipgrid.com/lakesidekind
As always, remind your students of Digital Citizenship when responding:
- ~Be Kind
- ~Be appropriate
- ~Be safe- Only use your first name and initial of your last name.
Have fun sharing Kindness during the holidays.
Mrs. McBride
10th Annual Opportunity to Share Your Hair in support of the Pink Heart Fund will take place on March 9th. Interested learners should avoid a Holiday Hair Trim since the minimum to donate this year is 10 inches. More information will be coming home soon.
