Declaration of Independance

We all know the existence of this document, and we shoukd stop and think why is it so important.


This document sums up in three parts all the americans have been fighting for. First, it describes colonists beliefs about government, including enlightment ideas by Jonh Locke. Second it complains about the king and issues such as taxes, no representation of the americans... And third it declares the US a free stage.

NATURAL RIGHTS:

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."


This is a part of the document that defines what are the natural rights and how important they are. As Jonh Locke defines, we are born with them and no government or person can take our rights from us.


SOCIAL CONTRACT

A gobernment can only exist if people allows it to exist. If people don't agree with it, its their right to abolish or change it. Ass we can read in the document:


"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government ..."


POPULAR SOVEREIGNTY

All citizens can and must participate in government.


"They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends."


So, as I see it, this document describe what we have fought for and why during all this years, and I invite you to support it as I do. We must let people know about this declaration as it's the evidence of our Freedom.
