Off TO A Great Start!
WOW! What a great start to our school year! Thank you parents for all of your support in making the start of our school year so successful! We have had a few bumps together but with your help, we are putting things just right for our students and families! Students are working hard on their procedures for school and learning to be more independent every day! Our days are looking more and more like business as usual in classrooms kindergarten and our elearners are navigating through their day with more and more confidence.; It is so exciting to see!! Our students are so inspiring and resilient and are adapting wonderfully to their new routines. We are confident we will be able to work together through this most unusual year and create the best experience possible for our students!

All IN PERSON STUDENTS MUST be up to date on their vaccinations BY SEPTEMBER 7TH OR WILL BE PUT ON E-LEARNING UNTIL COMPLETED Indiana state law requires you to have up to date immunizations. If you have any questions or concerns about the new school year 2020-21 requirements, please contact your school nurse.
NEW 2020-2021 IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS: Indiana State Department of Health Immunization requirements for the 2020-2021 school year Two (2) Hepatitis A vaccinations are now required for ALL grade levels for the upcoming school year. The Hepatitis A immunization consists of two (2) doses with a minimum interval of 6 calendar months between the first and second dose.
If your student has a specific health condition or needs special care during the school day such as medication, treatments, or monitoring, please inform your school nurse and provide your nurse with a care plan. Individual health care plans help keep your student safe and healthy. All care plans need to be updated every school year!
PLEASE KEEP ALL SICK OR SUSPECTED SICK STUDENTS HOME FROM SCHOOL. PLEASE MARK THEM OFF IN SKYWARD. SYMPTOMS INCLUDE: fever greater than 100.4 degrees, CHILLS, SORE THROAT, COUGH( especially new onset, uncontrolled cough), DIARRHEA, VOMITING, HEADACHE( particularly new onset of severe headache, especially with a fever) , NEW LOSS OF TASTE OR SMELL, MUSCLE OR BODY ACHES OR FATIGUE, CONGESTION OR RUNNY NOSE, SHORTNESS OF BREATH OR DIFFICULTY BREATHING. If you are unsure, please call your healthcare provider or school nurse for advice. Please do not send your student to school and instruct them to go directly to the nurse before the school day begins. Again, if you have any questions or concerns please contact your school nurse. DQ Nights for ELC
Frey's DQ her in Hobart supports our school! One Thursday every month, they will offer a drive through fundraiser for ELC students who attend and present their voucher during their visit. Frey's will donate a portion of the proceeds from this night back to our school to help us bring experiences to our students! Treat yourself!
Elearners will have grab and go material pickup every other Friday at the ELC from 10-2PM. We will have two this month, 9/11 and 9/25. Please pull up to door 2 in front of our school and get our to grab the materials from the bin with your teacher's name on it.
Marco's Pizza is Back With Pizza Challenge Nights
Each month, Marco's Pizza hosts a class pizza challenge night to ELC students. There are two classes to compete and the one with the most participation will win a pizza party for their class! Elearners in the winning class will receive a coupon for a free small pizza! All ELC students are encouraged to participate as the ELC will receive proceeds from the entire night! Make it a Marco's Night for your family!
