Dear Team 33 Families,
Sports Day- 5/10
May Spirit Day is Sports Day! On Wednesday May 10, 2023, wear something to represent your favorite team or sport!
Field Trip- 6/13
First Grade is going on a field trip to the Ecotarium! This is full day trip. The cost of the trip includes admission to the museum exhibits (inside and outside) and the bus ride. Permission slips are going home with your child today.
- Please make checks payable to Henry Warren School. Sign the permission slip and send in a payment of $20 by May 18th.
- Students will need to bring a bag lunch with a drink on this field trip. If your child needs a lunch for the field trip let me know by 5/18. Lunch choices will be bagel and juice or sunbutter & jelly and juice.
- The cost of the field trip is $20. If extenuating circumstances prevent you from being able to pay for the cost of the trip, please reach out to me.
- If you would like to sponsor a student in need to help offset the costs of the field trip, please send any donation amount to me in an envelope stating "sponsor a student for the first grade field trip."
- No student will be allowed to go on the field trip without a signed permission slip.
Field Trip Chaperones
If you would like to be a chaperone for the field trip, please read these important notes before contacting me:
- All chaperones must have a current CORI check. If you need to get a CORI check, please stop by the Warren School office with your license and complete form.
- Chaperones will need to drive themselves to the Ecotarium and meet the students and teachers by 10:00.
- All students must ride on the school bus to and from the Ecotarium.
- Chaperones will need to pay a $10 admission fee. If you are a chaperone, please send this money to me by 5/18.
We can have three chaperones, so please let me know as soon as possible if you'd like to be a chaperone. If I have more than three volunteers, I will pick names out of a hat.
Bus Registration for 2023-2024
Ashland Public Schools provides free transportation to Ashland students in Grades K-6 who reside more than two (2.0) miles from school. Students in Grades K-6 who live two or fewer miles from school and all students in Grades 7-12 may pay an annual transportation fee if they want to take the bus to and from school. Due to limited transportation options, all paid seats will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Early Registration
Registrations must be received before June 1. The fee is $290 per student or $580 (maximum family cap) for two or more students in the same family. Registration is required for each student. Submit payments to Ashland Public Schools at epay.cityhallsystems.com, select the School Department and the drop-down option for Bus Transportation.
Regular Registration
Registrations received after June 1 may be processed on September 1, 2023. The fee is $360 per student or $720 (maximum family cap) for two or more students from the same family. Registration is required for each student. Submit payments to Ashland Public Schools at epay.cityhallsystems.com, select the School Department and the drop-down option for Bus Transportation.
Students will be assigned to a bus once their full and complete application has been received. Once bus capacity has been reached, a waitlist will be created. Late registrations will be placed on a waitlist and offered a seat if one becomes available during the school year.
For more information about bus fees, fee waiver applications and our notification process, please visit ashland.k12.ma.us/Transportation.
Water Bottles
Please have your child bring a filled water bottle each day. This is important, especially with the warmer weather coming! It is a very long walk to the closest water fountain. Thank you!
Are you looking to volunteer at the Warren School?
We are looking for parent volunteers to help our hard-working teachers with some administrative tasks. An hour of your time can help loosen the load for our teachers, giving them more time to plan, teach, and create fun activities with our children.
