Another fun week!
Coronavirus Information For Parents and Students
Ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff is a top priority for the Osceola County School Board. The district continues to be in regular communication with Osceola County Emergency Management and the Florida Department of Health about the coronavirus, and is following their guidance. At this time, there have been no cases of coronavirus identified in Florida.
Parents and students are asked to take some common-sense precautions that apply to many infectious diseases, like the flu. The most important are having students stay home from school if they are sick, covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze, and washing your hands frequently with soap and water. For additional information, visit the Florida Department of Health’s website at http://www.floridahealth.gov or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at https://www.cdc.gov/.
Travel update:
Hello parents!
We have been notified by Osceola County School District that if your family is planning to leave the United States for vacation, or your family is taking a cruise anytime soon, you must bring in a physician signed doctor’s note to return to school. This precaution is being implemented by all Osceola County Schools starting this week. If you have any questions, please call our school and speak to Ms. Jessica at the front desk. 321-697-4040.
INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL NEXT THURSDAY MARCH 12, 2020
As you all know our International Festival is next week on Thursday March 12 at 6 PM and should conclude around 8:30 PM. Parents are free to arrive anytime throughout this time-frame as festivities will happen continuously. Everyone will enter the school from the front office for an opportunity to purchase tickets for five dollars cash. The tickets will allow you to sample international food in our cafeteria and participate in hands-on activities and events. Every family can purchase 10 tickets for five dollars, this is a donation to our school’s future events and extracurricular activities. We look forward to you visiting our event to spend time with your community and to see your excellent teachers and staff, and most importantly to celebrate our diverse school environment.
You can utilize the SchoolPay link below to purchase your tickets in advance. (Highly recommended)

Carpool Reminders
Parents,
Please remember that students may not be dropped off in the morning in the front office before 8:00 a.m. This will be strictly enforced going forward. Also, please do not let your students get out of your car while you are waiting in the car line to run through traffic. This is a very big safety risk. It takes approximately 10 minutes to get through the morning car line. Please plan your time accordingly. If you are late (arrive after 8:00 a.m) a student must be escorted to the front office by an adult. You will notice orange cones up once carline has been closed and you can walk your students inside. Some days traffic in our parking lot will need more time due to accidents or inclement weather in the surrounding area. Thank you!

Art Center!
Dear OSCS Families,
We have partnered with your Square One Art to create a unique opportunity to celebrate their artistic accomplishments while raising much needed funds for the art program.
Coming home soon will be your child’s custom catalog featuring their artwork. Won’t you help make your child feel like an accomplished artist by purchasing keepsakes for the whole family containing their masterpiece? The school's art program earns profit from every order. And as a thank you for participating, we provide each child with a sheet of stickers imprinted with their artwork — absolutely FREE!
Watch for more details about the campaign and order deadlines. All online and paper order forms must be turned in by April 3rd. These will make PERFECT Mother's Day and Father's Day gifts!
Together, we can help support the arts, build your child’s self-esteem, and create lasting keepsakes from your child’s artistic achievements.
Please contact Ms. Romano with any questions at glaucia.romano@osceolascience.org
