CHS Groundbreaking Ceremony
Photo from Communityisd.org
"I loved it," Cadon Croy replied when asked about his thoughts on the Groundbreaking Ceremony. According to me, Maddie Pangle, the best part was getting the chocolate spoon! We feel so lucky to have been a part of the special ceremony. The high schoolers did great with all of their performances. "I liked how a lot of the city officials took time out of there day to come to this ceremony," said Cadon.

Cafeteria Lunch Food...
By: Sauda Kilwa and Lauren Buchanan
“It’s not fair to us kids to go through the day where we aren’t satisfied. And if we’re not satisfied, we’re not learning anything and we’re not focused!” (https://www.huffpost.com/entry/chicago-public-schools-aramark-lunch-boycott_n_56686953e4b0f290e5217c3c)
Cafeteria lunch food is not healthy, not enough, and to some not the best tasting! Not all students have the time, or the money to make lunch. Honestly, if schools made healthier, better-tasting food, students would most likely buy it more often.
Some people like the school lunch and think it tastes good. I like some food they serve too! Many students I know like the mozzarella sticks, pretzels, and the orange chicken. They have a few options for vegetables and fruit that are satisfying to us kids. Thank you for listening to our opinion.
