Catherine of Siena involved herself in a lot of church affairs. Her multiple request convinced Pope Gregory XI to move the papacy back to Rome from Avignon.

Catherine of Siena was such a devoted Catholic that in 1461 the church declared her a saint. Her being so devoted to the church showed people that you can live a more spiritual life beyond just the church.
