Queer People of Color

November 11, 2014

QPOC shall explore the intersection of identities and focus efforts on educating students about unique challenges with race, gender, sexuality and class, while identifying campus, local, and national resources. QPOC aims to encourage academic achievement, leadership, awareness, and knowledge about these important issues on college campuses.

QPOC PRESENTS: Undefined Letters

Thursday, Nov. 13th, 7pm

Student Center South (SAC) room 200B

Come out and explore the diversity in our very own LGBTQIADP community! We will be discussing the definitions and our connotations of what it really means to be queer.

"Q... Wait what does that letter mean again? Queer? Or questioning?"

You got questions, we got answers!

The 15 Now Project Comes to Temple

We will be having a guest speaker come in this week to discuss their efforts to help raise minimum wage in our community. How does minimum wage affect you as a queer person, or simply a person of color? What can we do about this?

Their mission:

"To provide a safe haven for homeless LGBT youth who are in need of the basic necessities of shelter, food, education and the opportunity to pursue their passions through meaningful and worthwhile employment."
