National Day Calendar
March 30 commemorates National Chip and Dip Day, National Near Miss Day, National Puppy Day and National Tamale Day. Burke County Families can celebrate this day by hosting a night time picnic featuring all of the favorite fixin's, chips, dip and tamales, beneath a starry meteoroid shower that seems to be approximately 500,000 ft too close to Earth... the dinosaurs are quaking in their boots right now. Oh yeah, you can also invite your new puppy to the picnic to eat any tamales or dip that's too spicy!
Word of the Day
The Word of the Day is Dogleg! Dogleg (usually followed by left or right) is a verb that gives golfers directions when the course bends to the left or right, like the hind leg of a dog. The hole doglegs to the left in 200 ft, so be sure to aim your club around the corner!
We challenge you all to use this word as many times as you can this week, extra points if you use it in the right context, EVEN MORE points if you have to explain to somebody what it means!
History of the Masters Tournament
The Masters Tournament has been a tradition of Augusta, Georgia since 1934. The Masters has become one of four major golf tournaments internationally and is widely recognized as the most prestigious of the four by players and fans alike.

SPRING BREAK is always the 1st full week in April - Which is also Masters Week!
