HISTORY

  • Dog sledding, done for thousands of years
  • Siberans used dog sledding to migrate
  • People used sleddogs or hunting and gathering
  • Original sleddogs are direct descendants from wolves
  • Dog sledding was first made for transporting a syrum to help cure diseases
  • The first winner of the first sled race took 20 days

  • Some of the racing dogs come from the pound, when they are going to be killed the next day
  • Most dogs don't want to lead
  • True leader wants to go straight to work/ hard chargers
