THIS SUNDAY 3-8TH GRADE SING AT LATE SERVICE

The 3rd-8th Graders sing and play handbells this Sunday, May 1 for the 10:40 service.

The 5th-8th graders meet at 10:10 to rehearse the handbells and the 3rd-8th graders meet at 10:20 to rehearse the pieces that we are singing!

Next week is staff appreciation week. We would like to encourage you to thank the teachers and staff for all the work they do here and all the love they show the children

SPRING CONCERT FOR GRADES 3-8

Spring Concert for grades 3-8 is Friday, May 20, 6:30 PM featuring the choir, band, handbells and recorders! We will be performing a variety of styles and selections including some songs and dialogs from "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown."

CHORUS AUSTIN & YOUTH CHORUS AT ST. PAUL

Sunday, May 1 at 4pm at St. Paul Lutheran Church

Admission: $15-25

This is the third year that Chorus Austin has presented “Southwest Voices,” a concert

which features music from contemporary composers in Austin and neighboring

regions and has quickly become a beloved addition to their season. The winner of the

Young Composers Competition will be announced and the work premiered at this not-

to-be-missed event. Two of our young people, Esther Schielke and Taft Stansel, are singing with the Youth Chorus! Please come and hear a wonderful concert.

8TH GRADE GRADUATION

The 8th Grade Graduation will be held Thursday, May 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall. We are excited to celebrate their time of transition to high school. All are welcome. Reception to follow.

AWARDS NIGHT

Awards Night is Thursday, May 26 following the 8th Grade Graduation. All 5th-7th graders are invited. Students in lower grades will be personally invited if they are receiving an award.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

May 27 is the last day of school for K-8 for the 2015-16 school year. Please make plans to join us for our closing chapel at 9:30 (not 8:30). We will have chapel, AR Rewards and volunteer recognitions. All are welcome! After chapel there will be an end of year Brunch. Please note that all children must be supervised by an adult.

FINAL PAYMENT FOR K-8

It is school policy that all K-8 statements are paid in full before report cards are issued. If you have questions, contact Elsa Mata, financial administrator, at elsa.mata@stpaulaustin.org. Report cards and ITBS report will be mailed the week of June 6.

SUMMER CAMPS AT ST. PAUL

YMCA - St. Paul is hosting YMCA of Austin Summer Camp. The YMCA will provide weekly Summer Theme Camps for grades K-8th here at St. Paul Lutheran School ( their program, their teachers). The camps will run from June 6 through August 12, 7:30a.m.-6:00p.m. Rates are $170/week for YMCA members, $205/week for non-members. SPLS - St. Paul is also hosting and running Camp Invention again this summer June 20-24, 2016 (their program, our Teachers). Camp Invention is designed for children entering 1st thru 6th grade. There are CIT (Counselor in Training) opportunities for older students, too.

Please check the wooden lost and found bin in the hallway for your lost items. All items left after June 3rd will be taken to Goodwill.

CHAPEL OFFERING FOR QUARTER 4

Our 4th quarter offerings will be donated to Rev. Duane Meissner. Rev. Meissner is currently serving as a missionary with LCMS Missions in Belize.
