Spaghetti Supper

SPA is hosting Spaghetti Supper on September 23rd, packets for the dinner and split the pot tickets went home last week. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year and helps support the school in so many ways including paying for the Rainbow Mass buses that the students will ride in to Owensboro next week. Also, they are in need of volunteers to work that night. Please sign up by clicking the link https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0e4aaba82ca4ffc61-spaghetti

Principal Corner

Thanks to all who participated in our recent parent surveys about volunteering and involvement. The results are going to be shared with our Long Range Planning team next week. Once we have that meeting, then we can send the findings to you as well. We appreciate your input.

Our middle school parents also recently received a survey via email. If you have not responded to that, please take a look and do so. Any input we get will be discussed amongst our staff and reviewed for improvements.

Our new student council members are working hard to help student life here at SJS. Our first pep rally of the year has been planned (and held on 9/9). They are also helping with the Spirit Club organization, a middle school dance, the Halloween Talent Show, etc.

Speaking of the student council members, their speeches were delivered just before their elections, and were executed in STELLAR fashion….it was exciting to see and hear, and we have so many creative and talented students who I wish could occupy 15 or 20 student council offices!

Don’t forget to keep watching the school events that are coming up in September–we look forward to continually increasing parent/community involvement each and every month!

God Bless!
