What’s all this HYPE about Hyperdocs?
Shift online worksheets to student-centered lessons with HyperDocs. When you share a HyperDoc with students, they will have access to a lesson with instructions, links, content, and tasks. The goal is to provide students with choice, differentiation, and opportunities for exploration and application. In this session, we will explore examples and templates of HyperDocs as well as tips and tricks for creating your own HyperDoc using either Google Docs or Google Slides.
Connected Learning
Connect2Texas is an outstanding educational resource that connects your students with various Texas-based organizations and experts. Our curriculum-based programs are designed to be entertaining and educational by offering learning possibilities that aren’t readily available in the classroom. Come see how integrating “connected learning” can play an essential role in your instruction and create opportunities for new discovery.
Google Interactive Journals
Get your Google on and find out how easy it can be for learners to review, collaborate, and receive feedback using digital journals in any curricular area! Participants will learn how these applications can be used for documenting and curating student learning, and will create and take away examples in order to get started in their own classrooms.
A 90 second game changer: Flipgrid
Flipgrid is a device agnostic online video resource that brings the backrow of your classroom up to the front row. Conduct asynchronous conversations and evaluate (or have students peer evaluate) learning in your classroom. Flipgrid amplifies student voice. Use video the way your students do, use Flipgrid!
Check-ups vs. Autopsies
Do you just give an autopsy (summative exam) at the end of a unit only to find out many of your students had flatlined and you didn't know it? Join us as we exam digital options to help you give frequent check-ups that will provide you with critical data updates to prevent future flatlines.
Your Class Can Code with Code.org
Have you been looking for a way to get your class coding without any coding experience? This session is for you. Code.org is a completely free site that provides classrooms with all the expertise they need to get up and running with coding - no experience necessary. Join me in this hands on session as we experience Code.org as both a student and a teacher.
