Module 1 Honors - Logan Hale
Do Evergreens Need Heat to Germinate?
Hypothesis
My hypothesis is that evergreen seeds do not need heat to germinate, since evergreen plants can thrive in the winter.
Experiment
My experiment will use evergreen seeds of various plants under their ideal conditions for germination, and then remove the heat from all of them. My experiment will help me find the results because if they don't grow under ideal conditions minus heat, then the evergreen seeds must need heat to germinate.
Data
SEED 1 --> Grew
SEED 2 --> Grew
SEED 3 --> Died
Conclusion
Most evergreen seeds DON'T need heat to germinate, but some do.
