What you really need to know
Don't skip this part and check the important dates below.
Kindergarten classes traditionally celebrate the last weeks of school with an ABC countdown. That means with 26 days to go, we will begin alphabet themed activities for the remaining days of school. We will begin this Friday with A (is for Animals) day. Students are invited to bring in their favorite stuffed toy. Please click HERE to view other upcoming ABC events that require some at-home prep in order for your child to participate. You will receive a hard copy of this on Monday.
Another important upcoming special event will be our Portfolio Day! You will have the opportunity to come view a collection of your child's work over the course of the year. Please save the date: Thursday, June 15 in our classroom 8:45-9:05. Young siblings welcome.
May Book orders are due now! I'll give you until Friday since this is our last order of the year and there are so many good choices. Check your flyers or go to https://clubs.scholastic.com to view online. You will need our class code HVXFH, to create an account for your first order.

All in a days work...
- We have welcomed three young tadpoles into our classroom. We are watching them grow and are waiting for their legs to emerge.
- We have planted two different kinds of mystery seeds. Some will be planted in our cooperative Eliot School garden and some will come home after they sprout. We can't wait to see what they turn into!
- We read The Little Red Hen and will be studying other versions of the classic tale.
- We have been focusing on choosing the correct middle vowel sounds to complete words.
- Our number line capabilities are expanding to include numbers 30-100.
- We had a visit from the New England Aquarium to learn all about tide pools. We really enjoyed touching creatures like sea stars and hermit crabs and getting a close up look at how they move around. Thank you to Colin's mom, Pam, for organizing this visit!

The things kids say. For real.
Student 1: If you don't share, I won't be your friend anymore.
Student 2: You're being so dramatic!
