Humanities Update

Week Beginning Monday 10th March

Introduction

It's been a difficult week for the faculty and I think that we have been left with more questions than answers. Hopefully we will start to get some answers soon and things will become clearer for everyone. If there is anything I can do to help, then please let me know.

Just a couple of things this week, as everyone has a lot on their minds. Firstly if you have signed up for the Literacy BPCPD session on Monday and did not get the email, then due to Victoria leaving it has been postponed. The Year 7 report process has now started, as has the Post 16 review with Jo, Claire and myself all being observed this week. The Yr 12 and 13 data track will also take place this week.

If there are any questions about anything, or if there is anything I can help with then please let me know.

Year 11: Countdown to the exams

It has been very encouraging to see the response from Year 11 to the revision sessions. Both Geography and History have started their's this week, with an encouraging turn out for both, especially the morning sessions. The RS one on Thursday morning saw 42 students in the LRC.

This webguide might help with inspiration for new ideas in planning sessions / activities http://www.pe4learning.com/shadowpuppet-popular-gcse-resources-how-to-video-guide and I am getting positive feedback from students about the RS Interactive revision wall on padlet. Let me know if you would like help to build one for your subject.
