A Message from the Principal

March 3, 2021

Dear Holy Family Catholic School Community,

Did you know that HFCS has a Catholic Mission Committee (CMC)? The CMC is a School Advisory Council committee, its mission statement is: The Catholic Mission Committee will reveal the charism of the Holy Family and how it supports the mission of the school. Everything we do will help lead the Holy Family Catholic School community closer to the Holy Family.

I want to thank the CMC for assembling a wonderful packet in celebration of St. Joseph, this packet will be coming home to you this week. Included in the packet is a craft project and a holy card to guide you in praying the St. Joseph Novena starting on March 11.

Pope Francis has declared this year to be the Year of St. Joseph. What better way is there to get to know the earthly head of the Holy Family but through prayer.

-Even if you test negative, stay home and self-quarantine for the full 7 days.

-If you do not get tested, stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel.

Catholic Mission Committee

Pope Francis has proclaimed a "Year of Saint Joseph" from December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021. This is the 150th anniversary of Blessed Pope Pius IX's declaration of St. Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church.

Because of the proclamation, the Catholic Mission Committee has put together packets with an activity and a Novena to St. Joseph. Starting on March 11, please pray the Novena each morning (for nine days) as a family.
