We were very excited about having the Liberty Learning Foundation here at Sparkman High School this week! Our feeder elementary students were here to celebrate!

Homecoming Dance tickets are now on sale in room 405 or through MySchoolFees. The cost is $20 per ticket. Homecoming shirts are on sale as well. Size S - XL is $15 and XXL is $17.

Sparkman JROTC will conduct a car wash on Saturday, August 31st from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Kroger located at the corner of Hwy 72 and Jeff Road. Donations accepted.

Flu Vaccination Clinic
FLU VACCINATION CLINIC

Vaccinating Alabama Kids in Schools(VAKS) will be at Sparkman High School to give the flu vaccine to students with a completed consent form. The consent form will be sent home the week of Aug 22th and is also available on the website. Please return all forms by August 30th. Juniors received information about class rings on August 27th. Herff Jones will be back on Sept. 4th to take orders. They will take orders during lunch time in the cafeteria.
The Environmental Club will hold an interest meeting on Thursday, Sept. 5, during AO in room 231. See Mrs. Maxtion for an AO pass.
The first Spanish Club for competition meeting will be on Friday, September 6, at S9 in room 134, Mrs. Terry’s class, at 8:00 am and 3:40 pm. Any student interested in competing in the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa this year must attend one of these meetings.
Trumbauer Theatre Competition interest meeting for Non-Class Students will be held Wednesday September 4 in Theatre Room 147 from 8 am to 8:30 am. Students wishing to compete should come to the meeting or contact Mrs. Tumminello. Auditions for Trumbauer will be held Friday September 6th right after school and Saturday September 7th from 9 - 11 am. in the theatre room.
MySchool Fees - Online Payment System to pay for Fees
· Go to sparkmanhigh.mcssk12.org
· Select “For Parents”
· Select “MySchoolFees”
· Select “Category”
· Pick “Course” and add to Cart (Repeat as needed)
· Once all categories have been selected, hit “Checkout” button and follow instructions for payment
· Click on who will “own Public Fees” and designate if the funds are for the same recipient or several recipients
· If funds are for the same recipient, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name.
· If funds are for several recipients, identify the recipient by typing in the recipient’s name for each category.
· Submit and continue.
· Follow instructions to checkout.

Anyone interested in trying out for the Varsity Dance Team can pick up a packet from Ms. Neis in room 412. Tryouts will be Sept. 4 - 6.
We will offer an ACT Prep workshop for the September test. These sessions will take place on Sept. 3rd, 4th, 9th, and 11th from 3:30 - 4:45. Cost is $120. Please see Mrs. Johnston in room 405 or Myschoolfees to sign up.
