Career Signing Day
Model UN Meeting
Model UN will meet Monday February 3rd in room 210 after school to discuss our upcoming fundraiser and conference. Please bring your signed passport and check if you plan on attending the conference. New members are welcome.
Key Club meeting
Monroe County Sheriff's Office Teen Police Academy
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office Teen Police Academy now has applications available in the Student Center. This is a one week camp in the summer that involves physical training, classroom instruction, reality-based training and team building exercises. There is an application and interview process conducted by the Sheriff's department. Pick up your application in the Student Center and return it by March 6th.
Unified Basketball Coming Soon!!
The 2020 Unified Basketball season will be starting soon. Official practices will not begin until April 1st, but there will be open gym time at Plank North on Wednesdays from 6:30 - 7:45 starting February 5th. There will be no open gym over February break and the gym will also be closed on March 11th and 18th. Stop by Mr. Bertram's class in room 142 if you have questions.

Reminders from the Health office:
FEVER - students must stay home with a fever of 100.5 or higher. They cannot return to school until fever free for 24 hours WITHOUT medication to bring it down. (tylenol, ibuprofen etc)
Students entering 11th grade in the Fall are required to turn in an updated physical. If your child is scheduled to have a physical coming up, please make sure we receive a copy. Health office fax # 670-8023.
Students entering 12th grade in the Fall are required to have a meningitis booster. This must be turned in prior to the start of school in September.

Attention Juniors: Laboratory for Laser Energetics - Rochester-area high school juniors are eligible to apply for this summer program at the University of Rochester. Accepted students are assigned to a research project of current scientific interest and supervised by a staff scientist at the Laboratory for Laser Energetics at the University of Rochester. Applications are available in the Student Center or you may apply at www.lle.rochester.edu. Deadline to apply is March 10, 2020.
Attention Juniors - There is a common application available for junior college awards. Applications are available in the Student Center. A few of the colleges on the application include: Clarkson, RIT, RPI, and U of R. Completed applications are due back to the Student Center by Friday, March 20th.
Attention Sophomores: The PreACT is a practice ACT exam that Thomas is offering on Saturday, March 21st. Registration forms are available in the Student Center and are due back by Tuesday, March 17th. The exam cost is $14.00 by check only payable to WTHS PreACT.
Roberts Wesleyan College is hosting the Black Scholars College Workshop & Career Fair on Saturday, March 14th starting at 9:00am. The admissions tour begins at 9:00 and then workshops to follow that consist of financial aid, the FAFSA, scholarship information, college summer programs internships employment and academic opportunities. Cheerleaders will be at Victor High School tomorrow for the Victor Cheer Classic.
Indoor Track
Congratulations to Sean Smith and Monique Hardy who set not only new school records in the weight throw on Saturday, but also set new Section V records. Also throwing a personal best was Martin Carey and Kendall Liapis, Ava Pezzimenti, Clara Whilden and Mekaia Reid all in the 55m, Luke Widor in the pole vault, Evan Gorthy in the 55 hurdles, Jon Dingwall in the 300m, and Connor Thomas in the 1000m.Indoor track is traveling to Houghton College for a meet tonight.
Bowling
Monday January 27th the Thomas bowlers took on Eastridge.
The girls won their match and all 3 games
Their current record is now 65-0 (points) 13-0 (matches)
The boys won their match and all 3 games
Their current record stands at 35-30 (points) 6-7 (matches)
On Wednesday evening January 29th Thomas Bowlers had a match with. Fairport
The Thomas girls won their match and all 3 games. They are now 70-0 (points) 14-0 (matches). The Thomas boys lost their match and all 3 of the games They are now 35-35 (points) and 6-8 (matches). There are two matches left in the regular season. Tuesday February 4th vs. Canandaigua at Roseland Bowl and next Wednesday February 5th at Empire Lanes vs Penfield.
Boys Basketball
The Boys play their lone game of the week at Canandaigua tonight
Girls Basketball
The Girls played a very tough Gates Chili team Tuesday evening. They lost 54-30. Audrey Mack had 7 points and 7 rebounds on the night. Mary Marrapese and Lindsay Cuff each had 6 points in the loss. The Girls played Canandaigua last night. It was their senior night and Seniors Audrey Mack, Abby Roetker, Lindsay Cuff and McKayla Kardas were all recognized before the game. It was a close game throughout, but unfortunately the Lady Titans came away with a loss 48-39.
They play Webster Schroeder at home next Tuesday February 4th. Varsity game time 7:30pm.
Wrestling
The Thomas Wrestlers had their last regular season match Wednesday night. They beat Fairport 48-27.

Hockey
Hockey traveled to Lakeshore Ice Arena Tuesday evening to play Hilton.
They Titans beat the Cadets 6-2. Scoring for Thomas were Kevin Gabalski, Brandon Gierczack, Dylan Lachance scored one each. Teagan Spang had 3 on the night. Cody Yancey made his first Varsity start in goal and made 14 saves in the win.
The two top ranked ice hockey teams in the area play each other tonight as your Thomas Titans take on Victor at the Webster Ice Arena. Face off is at 6:00....come cheer them on to victory!
