The Best Part Of My Week Is Seeing Our Techers and Students SMILE!

We have been busy preparing for the 2021-2022 school year. This week our teachers came back and we had a great time reconnecting and learning about our new reading program. We met our new class of kindergarten students and introduced new and returning families to Pine Run, thanks to our amazing tour guides. As we begin this new school year I am filled with hope and excitement for each and every one of our students. Our teachers are ready, they are excited to be back with students and eager to take them on a new educational journey. An abundance of unique learning opportunities await!

I will continue to work with our district leaders to provide a safe and engaging learning environment for our students. The health and safety of students and staff remain my top priority. Please reach out if you have any questions. Enjoy this final weekend of summer. We can't wait to see you on Monday.

Big picture

First Steps for Families:

The first step prior to distribution is to enroll online and pay a usage fee, using MyPaymentsPlus. The usage fee covers the at-home and in-school use of a device, a charger, and insurance for accidental breaks. Elementary students pay $10 a year per child, each year.

What's next? Prior to the device handout you should...

  1. Visit:
  2. Parent/Guardian and Student will click on and read the 1:1 Handbook.
  3. Parent/Guardian signs the user agreement and pays* the user fee via MyPaymentsPlus (MPP). Upon submitting the fee and MPP agreement you are confirming that you have reviewed the information with your child.

Devices for in-person students will be handed out in school by their classroom teacher the week of August 31st.

More information will come shortly for online student device pickup.

New Attendance Reporting Procedures

Big picture

Please Read Carefully

The Central Bucks School District will be changing the way in which absences are reported, beginning with the start of this upcoming school year on August 30, 2021. The following items are some key points to be aware of.

  • Parents and guardians will be able to submit absence requests via the Parent Portal. Parents can request a full day absence, early dismissal, or late arrival.
  • Absence requests will be reviewed by School Attendance Staff and approved or denied.
  • Requests made using the Parent Portal will also serve as the excuse for the absence. Parents will not be required to submit an excuse either electronic or written.
  • Parents and guardians can also still call the school to report an absence, but emails will no longer be accepted.

In addition, when a student is absent from school, but the school did not receive communication from the parent or guardian, the following communication will be sent:

  • A text message will be sent midmorning notifying the parent or guardian of the absence
  • An email will also be sent at the end of the school day reminding the parent or guardian that the student was marked absent.

Information regarding how to use the Parent Portal to report an absence can be found here.

If you have specific questions please reach out to Mrs. Lofaso at
