What a fantastic end to the 2015-2016 School Year!!!

End of the Year 8th Grade Celebration

In an effort to respond to previous concerns/requests to hold our 8th Grade Celebration during the evening, Hardin planned our final celebration merging our 8th Grade Awards Night with our 8th Grade Celebration. This amazing evening will took place on Tuesday, May 17th in our Hardin Gym. The Celebration was a tremendous success. A packed gym focused on all the accomplishments of our awesome 8th grade class both individually and collectively. It was a great evening. Thanks to all who came out and supported your/our students.

Student Incentives prove to be successful

Many thanks to the efforts of Mr. Kirton and the Hardin Family for all their work on student attendance and building climate. Student behavior and attendance set new records. For the first time since Hardin became a 7/8 building, student attendance came in at just under 92%!!! Student discipline numbers made another significant drop from last year as well. Great job to all including parents, staff, teachers and most of all, our students. Below are pictures from our visit to Pole Position Raceway. Students who met specific criteria based on attendance and behavior were treated to a day at the races!

7th Grade Awards Night

Our first annual 7th Grade Awards Night took place on Monday, May 16th. Students were honored for outstanding achievements throughout the year. It was a classy event that focused on what matters most... our students and their achievements.

Successful Launch!!! Thanks to Mr. Williamson and his students!

With funds from a grant from the Chamber of Commerce and Dr. Gettemeier, Hardin students launched a 600g latex weather balloon on Friday, May the 13th. The plan was for the weather balloon to reach the height of 100,000 ft before bursting. The balloon actually exceeded 113,000 ft.!

Hardin PTO provided our 8th grade with breakfast on the last day of school

On Thursday May 19th the Hardin PTO is provided our 8th graders breakfast in the gymnasium while they spent their final moments at Hardin signing yearbooks, upholding tradition by awarding 8th grade superlatives, culminating with viewing the 8th grade memory video. It was an emotional, enjoyable, entertaining and overall awesome event!
