Kirk Fenton News
25th January 2019
Dear Parents / Carers,
This week has seen Year Five working as super sleuths at Sherburn High School as they enjoyed a Forensic Science Day. They learnt lots and as always represented our school so well. Year Two visited the church to look at the gravestones and Year One had a very chilly trip on Tuesday to Skipton Castle. Thankfully they all had a great day and no-one was left in the dungeons!
I would like to thank all the parents that supported on these trips, it is only with your support that we can visit so many places to support the children's learning.
Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Karen Williams

NSPCC Number Day - Friday 1st February
We will be raising awareness for the good work that the NSPCC do whilst raising money which will help fund their vital services. Later in the term the NSPCC will be visiting school to work with our children.
Number Day is a great way to make maths fun and bring about a positive 'can do' attitude towards it.
The children will engage in fun maths challenges throughout the week.
Thank you for your support.

Curry Night - now you can bring the kids!
Our curry night fundraiser is happening on Tuesday 19th February. Details will be coming home in a letter with your children soon. We have decided to offer children's tickets at only £6.50 for the 6.30pm sitting so that you can bring the whole family if you choose - or why not book a babysitter and invite some friends for a grown up night out at the 8.30pm sitting? More details on our Facebook page, at the village shop, or in the letter.
Have your say
The money we raise for the school has, over the years, gone towards a wide range of projects. We'd love to hear your views on our recent spending and some proposed projects that we are considering supporting later this year. Please come along to our next meeting 7.30pm on Thursday 7th February at the Fenton Flyer to give your opinion and cast your vote.
Bag2school
Having a clear out after Christmas? The next Bag2school collection is taking place in just four weeks, so please put any good quality clothing that you are happy to donate to one side for us to raise more funds for the school. Empty bags will be sent home in three weeks' time.
