How is mescaline used?

What are the physical and mental effects of mescaline?
Mescaline affects the brain in many ways, but this drug is a hallucinogen, so it causes hallucination. If mescaline is used too much, like any other hallucinogen, the user can develop a syndrome where they continue to hallucinate even after the drugs effects have worn off. Typically the effects of mescaline can last anywhere from 6 to 7 hours, in rare cases they can last up to 12.
