William Still
William Still was a black abolitionist.
William Still's Childhood
William Still was born October 7,1821 to a black slave called Charity Still. Shortly after he was born his father bought freedom and his mother and father was set free. Also 12 of his brothers and sisters were set free but not 2 of his siblings. Levin.jr Still and Peter Still were not set free. Sadly Levin died o injuries from a whipping.
His Book
William Still made published his book (The Underground Railroad) on 1872. The reason he published this book is because he was a conductor on the railroad,he was like Harriet Tubman but unlike Harriet he lost a few passengers.
