2016 MCES Spring Carnival!
The Spring Carnival is scheduled for April 9th, 4-8 p.m. It is sure to be a ton of fun, and we could really use your help to make it a success!
Currently, we are looking for volunteers in the following areas:
* Graphic design. We need someone to design a logo and make some simple flyers, signs, etc.
* Silent auction. Volunteers would ask local businesses for items that can be auctioned off on carnival day. Additionally, if YOU are a business owner and would like to donate any items, please let us know.
* Window Painting. We could use a person or two to decorate the entry windows/doors leading up to carnival to help promote the event.
These are our areas of greatest need, but there are many other ways to help as well. If interested, please contact Missy Balleydier at mballeydier@gmail.com for more information.
Johnny's Night Out a Success!
A BIG THANK YOU to all of you who turned out last week to order from Johnny's Pizza in support of our school. Johnny's said it was a record night earning us $366 toward our goal for new playground equipment. You all ROCK!

Science Olympiad Update
MCES has a record number of students participating the Science Olympiad Program this year. Students have been assigned to events and coaches will be connecting with their student team members within the next week. Please add MARCH 19 to your calendar for the Regional Science Olympiad tournament at Middle Creek High School. We hope MCES will continue to bring home medals in all of our events. If you have any questions about the program, please do not hesitate to contact one of the head coaches: Robert Sandruck (robertsandruck@me.com) or Audrey Jaeger-Sandruck at (ajjaeger@ncsu.edu). We are still looking for one coach, if any parents would still like to be involved, let us know as soon as possible.
