$500.00 Mini-Grant Opportunity!
The Missouri Retired Teachers Association awards a minimum of 98 $500.00 grants each year. This year, because of a recent donation by Chillicothe R-2 retired teacher Cleo Willard, two grants must go to Chillicothe teachers this coming school year! I have attached the application, in both PDF form and a converted Google Doc for you.
Please keep in mind these guidelines:
1. Follow the format outlined in the application and include all sections as stated on the application form.
2. Be specific on the budget. Itemize all budgetary requests.
3. Clearly delineate the number of total students this idea will help.
4. Include if this idea/purchase would be used by other teachers (department, grade level etc.).
5. Will the purchases continue to be used beyond the immediate year?
6. How does the idea contribute to student achievement, student cognitive engagement, and learning through community/parental involvement?
Click here to access the form via Google Docs.
All applications should be postmarked by June 30, 2019.
As always, let me know if you have any questions. I would be happy to help you.
MPER Study Group Funding ($2,000)
MPER provides opportunities for study group funding for partner schools in support of its goals and objectives, as well as partner school improvement plan and professional development plan support.
Study group projects are joint ventures between one or more partner schools and at least one facilitator from a partner College or University. MPER is happy to help connect districts with appropriate facilitators.
Study group funding proposals may include:
- Classroom/building/district issue
- Rationale
- Project outline
- Collaboration
- Collaboration with other districts
- School improvement goals
- District or building support
- Evidence collection
- Project scalability
Greater support is provided to projects that involve more than one district and for projects that include specific scalable processes which can be shared with other districts as a result of the study.
Applications are due June 3, 2019! Click here to access application! See Dr. Watkins if you would like help!
