How to get ready for class with Iskwelahang Pilipino

Here's what you need to know
- Register by Friday to be included on Sunday.
- Check the schedule for class meeting times
- Get set up at home - Prep your family, learning space, class supplies and devices
- Check email on Saturday for the videoconference links
IP Sunday: School Age Children's Program & Rondalla Instruction
To participate fully, set up a free Zoom account for each student and join with 1 device plus headphones per child. See "Setting up for Success" below.
All parents are welcome to remain following Community Time to hang out in the IP Parents Lounge/Tambayan.
Lower school parents, please be available to assist your child in class. Lower school includes Binhi (Pre-K to Kindergarten), Ilang-Ilang (Grades 1 to ), and Sampaguita (Grades 3 to 5).
Rondalla students, your teachers will confirm meeting times for beginner and intermediate level students. Advanced Rondalla meets at 5:00.
Please be sure that IP has your current contact information, including family members' Zoom screen names. Meeting links will be sent via email on Saturday.
What does a typical IP day look like?
Most Sundays will follow this format. Occasionally, a class may be opened up for the whole family. Special events and family classes will be announced in advance. Rondalla
meets separately. The Rondalla schedule will be confirmed by your teacher.

How do I Zoom in?You can use a phone, tablet, or laptop, which offers some flexibility. In order to participate, your device may require a pre-installed app:

How do I Zoom in?
You can use a phone, tablet, or laptop, which offers some flexibility. In order to participate, your device may require a pre-installed app:
- iPads will need to install ZOOM App (do this before joining the test meeting)
- Windows and Mac Computers need to install the Zoom app (this will occur when accessing test meeting)
- Chromebooks need to install a Chrome Extension (this will occur when accessing test meeting)
Set up Zoom.
- Students can use a parent’s account or their own.
- You can get a free account at Zoom.com.
- Run a test to make sure everything works. (See below.)
- Get to know your Zoom buttons: mute/unmute, raise hand, clap and reaction icons, chat, share screen, whiteboard

It’s so easy! Pick a quiet spot, click the link and join the meeting. Please mute your microphone to minimize distracting noise.

- Use first name (or nickname) and last initial (or last name) for parents.
- First name and last initial recommended for minors.

- Plus any worksheets or supplies your teacher requests in advance
