Message from the Principals
We look forward to the upcoming Pumpkin Fair and are proud of our 50 year history with this beloved family and community event. We hope you will stop by for a visit tomorrow, Saturday October 14th.
Additionally, our kind act for the month will be a coat drive. We will start on Monday through the end of the month. If you have any unused coats or coats that your child(ren) may have out grown, we would love them. They will first go to children in our community and then be shared to children in need within the larger Chelmsford community.
Respectfully,
Terri and Jayson

Reminders/ Updates
Fall into Reading Challenge: In an effort increase reading at home our reading challenge is UNDERWAY. Teachers will send each student home with a sheet of pumpkin templates on colored. Each pumpkin represents 20 minutes of reading and includes a spot for the student's name and the date. Students and families will be asked to cut the pumpkins out each time they read for 20 minutes and send them in to school. We will add the pumpkins to a bulletin board in the main lobby to highlight our students efforts with reading at home. There will be a challenge amongst grade levels to see which grade level reads for the most minutes. The winning grade level can decide on the reward for their students. Each grade level will have different colored pumpkin paper to make the tracking easier. In order to include all levels of readers, families can read to or with a student as well as students reading independently. We will wrap up the challenge on October 31st.
Make up Picture Day: Retakes and/or makeups for student photographs with O'Connor Studios will be on Tuesday, November 14.
