Year 6 Rock!
As we were unable to go to London this year, we organised a special day with the opportunity to see a professional stage production, a visit to Harewood House and a meal out together in a restaurant. The children had a wonderful time.
Lily
'Harewood House has amazing beautiful birds, which were all very interesting. The theatre was an experience in itself. It was an indescribable performance and very well acted. Las Iguanas was a lovely meal and we all enjoyed being able to eat in a restaurant together. Overall, it was one of the best school trips that I have ever been on!'
Alice
'On our school visit I had a fabulous time. First we went to Harewood House, where we saw a range of animals, before seeing an amazing musical; 'School of Rock'. I found it really cool that all of the performers played their instruments live. Then we went for dinner at Las Iguanas where the food was very tasty and I had some excellent calamari.'

Superstars of the Term
This week we came together for our end of term celebration worships. Classes shared learning that they had been doing this term, added growth leaves to our tree and we announced our Superstars for the Term.
Well done to all our Superstars who have demonstrated such positive attitudes to their learning.

School Update
It has been another busy and very eventful term. The children have really worked hard and managed so well, considering the challenges of COVID.
We have explored with children how Easter is a time of reflection, hope and celebration. For Christians, the full Easter period lasts for a long time as Easter officially starts with Lent on Ash Wednesday, 46 days before Easter Day. It officially ends 49 days after Easter Day with the Christian Festival of Pentecost or Whitsun, when Christians remember that God sent his Holy Spirit to help Christians. So Easter is a very busy time!
I hope that this Easter you get some quality family time, have opportunity to share Easter traditions and take a moment to reflect and consider the true meaning of Easter and the hope that it brings.
Have a wonderful Easter break and we look forward to seeing you again on Monday 25th April 2022.
Thanks for all your support

Question of the week - How many emotions can you feel in one day?
We had some great responses:
'We can feel happy, sad, angry and cross all in one day.' Nursery
'You can feel many emotions in one day including loving.' Reception
'You can feel, happy, sad, annoyed and bossy sometimes. There are lots of emotions.' Year 1
'The emotions you feel depend on what you are doing in the day.' Year 2
'You can feel a lot of emotions, but some are bigger than others. These can depend on what is happening in the day.' Year 3
'You can feel many emotions, it can depend on who you are and what you are doing.' Year 4
'Love and happiness are two of the strongest emotions.' Year 5
'We think there are infinite number of emotions. It depends on what the world throws at you.' Year 6
Summer Term After School Clubs
Summer Term Menu Choices
We are continuing to serve children at their tables which means that they must choose their option (main meal, vegetarian, jacket potato or packed lunch) at registration. Especially for the younger children, we expect you agree that it would be better if parents help children to know which choice they should be saying, so please do look at the menu ahead of time and talk to your children about the choices for the day if possible.
We hope you understand that with nearly 150 children having a school meal everyday, it is difficult to monitor choices. However, if we become aware that a child is choosing a jacket potato very regularly, we will contact parents to check that you are happy with this choice. We also hope that by children making a clear choice in the morning, the kitchen will know exact numbers for each meal type which should avoid excessive food waste.
Thank you for your support in looking through the menu and choices with your child ahead of time.
