PTA Spring Updates
Valentine’s Day Parties – Please mark down Thursday, February 14th starting at 2:15pm. Parties for Valentine’s Day will be held in the classrooms. We are looking forward to a fun day!
Box Tops – The Yellow House wins for most box tops collected! 252 Box Tops came from the yellow house in the month of January. The classroom with the most collected Box Tops in January is... Miss Butler! The individual who submitted the most box tops in January was... Dax Jung in 1st grade from Miss Butlers class. Way to go!! Don’t forget to keep collecting them! The more we raise, the more money that is given back to Hosp. Any Box Top donations can be turned into your teacher for possible future prizes from your PTA! If you would be interested in counting, please email Tara DeAndrea at communitypartners@hosppta.org.
Multicultural Night on March 7th – Please join us as we celebrate all the Hosp cultures on our annual Multicultural Night! PTA is looking for volunteers to help host a table, perform and much more! 5th Annual Spring Carnival, Health Fair & Silent Auction – Please mark down Friday, April 5th from 5-8pm for one of Hosp Elementary’ s favorite nights! We are currently looking for volunteers to help with our Silent Auction as we kick start our planning process. If you would like to help on the committee, please email our Silent Auction Chair, Christy Brown at kbandcabrown@sbcglobal.net.
Donations to our Silent Auction – BRING IN THOSE DONATIONS!! As you know, our Silent Auction is always a huge success! We could not do it without all of our volunteers and families that help with donating. All proceeds from the auction go back to Hosp Elementary and our students. Please see the below information regarding our needs and deadlines. We appreciate anything you can give, from family donated theme baskets, to restaurant gift cards, to business services or tickets. Thank you in advance for all your donations!
Volunteer Carnival Opportunities – We are also in need of volunteers for the carnival. A lot of work needs to happen over the days leading up to the event, as well as on the day of the event. If you would like to volunteer, please go to Hosppta.org and complete the volunteer form. In addition, we have opportunities for middle and high school students working on their community service hours. Please contact Jessica Wang-Cucci at vpmembership@hosppta.org if you have a student who would like to volunteer.
Texas Art Competition Information – Take Care of Texas Kids Art Contest is a fun way for K-5 students to learn about protecting the environment and come up with creative ways to share this knowledge with others! Students submit their artwork of how they, along with their friends and family, help keep the air and water clean, conserve water and energy, and reduce waste. The students that submit the best art can win a Samsung tablet or laptop. Prizes are made possible through a donation from Samsung Austin Semiconductor. Link - Texas Art Competition Information.

STEAM & Frisco Ignite
Do you believe your student could have a future working in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, or Math (STEAM) fields? If so, attending the Frisco Ignite Event would be a perfect way for your student to discover new ideas and topics related to STEAM.
The event will be hosted by the Frisco Ignite Team, students from Lone Star and Memorial High School. In February, we are holding a fair that focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math, or STEAM.
Our STEAM fair is meant to inspire children and give students the opportunity to learn more
about their interests. You can read more about our purpose and the event on our website below.
If you are interested and want to sign your children up for the fair, you can do so via the Google Form attached to the QR code below. In order to fill out the Google Form, you must sign in to your students Frisco ISD Google Account.
Their email ID is: firstname.lastname.last 3 digits of student id number@k12.friscoisd.org. The password is their 8 digit birthday. For example, if their birthday is March 8, 2004, the password would be 03082004.
Using this login, you will be able to access the Google Form and some basic information will be requested.
Sincerely, The Frisco Ignite Team
