We will also discuss our strategic plan for 20-22. In an effort to assist chapters in developing chapter strategic plans, the Tennessee State Planning Committee offers a chapter plan template. Each chapter is encouraged to use the chapter plan template as they revisit and reconsider chapter strategic plans. The Planning Committee prefers chapter plan submissions using the Google form link (below) but hard copies will be accepted. Chapter plans are due November 1, 2020. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeRs7JiR-DM3RcUv1G_llP0w83n0upZncw1a2w6ApSEWnJ- 1w/viewform We will discuss at the next meeting if we would like to donate to the Silent Auction. What do you think? Kim Thurman Due to the cancelation of the 2020 Tennessee State Convention, the Special Events Committee is unable to host the annual Silent Auction. Money raised from the Silent Auction is used to fund the Beginning & Advanced Leadership Management Seminars, Leadership Conference for Committee Planning, and other professional development activities. The Special Events Committee is accepting chapter donations in an attempt to continue efforts in developing leaders while at the same time allowing chapters to earn points toward the 2021 Maycie Chapter Excellence Award. Chapters may earn points based on a tiered level according to donation amount: Chapters should use the attached 2020 Silent Auction Donation Fund form to submit donations. Completed forms and checks should be mailed to our Tennessee State Treasurer Dr. Dianne Anderson. For information regarding this procedure contact Special Events co-chairs Allison Maynard allisonroberts814@comcast.net or Kim Thurman kimthurman@epbfi.com

Member's News- Susan Hinton
Congratulations to Susan Hinton on her retirement!
Susan is retiring from an awesome 48 year teaching career. She taught for 25 years in AL and another 23 years in Smithville, TN. In Smithville she taught at Dekalb Middle School and the Dekalb Adult High School. Over the years she has filled many positions in grades K-12. On her Facebook post she stated," When asked my favorite, it’s always the same—whatever I am teaching at the time. It’s because I love students—small or tall. It didn’t make any difference because I’ve never lost my love for teaching or my love for students. I’ve spent my life devoted to my students
and I’ve discovered or maybe I’ve always known—it was my calling. So, thanks for trusting me with your most precious sons or daughters. I learned so much from them and I hope I have somehow inspired them to be just a little better, work a little harder, and change the world for the better."
We hope you have some great adventures in your future!
