Students participate in Mock Election
Students in the high school were able to participate in the U.S. Presidential election on Tuesday, with a Mock Election, coordinated by goverment teacher Mr. Kellermeyer. Thank you Mr. Kellermeyer, for coordinating the opportunity/civic lesson for the students.
The tally of the high school mock election:

Quiz Bowl
Congratulations to the 7th and 8th grade Quiz Bowl Team who brought home the 2020 First Runner Up trophy from the Allen County Quiz Bowl Tournament! They swept the final night of tournament play for a total 6-1 tournament record! The final night they went undefeated against Bluffton 22-15, Spencerville 29-19, Allen East 29-26, and Delphos Jefferson 24-20. Pictured are this year's team left to right: Alex Dunahay, Reagan Swickrath, Ally Sharp, Mason Troyer, Railee Ronshausen, Kylie Atkins, Coach Barb Hawk and Leila Hannouz. Great job Bulldogs!
Middle School Book Fair
This year's Scholastic Book Fair will be held ONLINE starting Mon., Nov. 2 - 15. Parents and students can shop online by visiting https://www.scholastic.com/bf/elidamiddleschool2. All orders ship directly to you. Every book parents and students order supports the Elida Middle School library! We know how much the students enjoy our book fair every year and hope to bring it back in person next year. Thank you for your continued support in making our library the best it can be!

School Resource Officer (SRO) Dee Whitling Surprise Send-Off!
Our Elementary SRO Dee Whitling received a surprise Send-Off this afternoon from the staff and students outside the elementary. Dee has been with Elida Elementary as an SRO for the last two years until last month. Dee started working with the Allen County Sheriff office as a dispatcher, and a TAC Officer, warrants division, records divisions, court security and was on the Mounted Posse, too! She was always very warm & friendly and was very well liked by the students and staff. Dee will surely be missed at Elida. Morning Ritual
Everyday we raise the flag at Elida. At the middle school, here are Jo'Vonta Gilcrease and Je'Vonte Williams doing the honor. They are students in Mrs. Cressman and Mrs. Jones' class. Thank you!
Students Collect Donations for West Ohio Food Bank
The Elida FFA and Family and Consumer Sciences classes teamed up to host a food drive to collect items for the West Ohio Food Bank. Both the Agriculture students and FCS students participated in the drive for 3 weeks, collecting 300 items to donate! Thank you to all those who participated.
Children's Book Author to Host Virtual Visit
Award-Winning children's book author Julia Cook will host a virtual visit with Elida Elementary students on Thursday, November 12th. To keep students and staff safe, Julia will be providing a virtual presentation to each student's classroom. On the day of the event each student will be sent home with a book order form. All books purchased will be signed by Julia, and we are very thankful for the Elida Elementary PTO for their support and can't wait to virtually host Julia!
Toys For Tots Donations Accepted
Elida High School is collecting new toys for the Toys for Tots campaign. If you would like to donate, please bring your toy to either office and place it in the box. The boxes will be collected the week of December 7th .

Annual Vendor & Craft Fair To Be Held Virtually
The Annual Spring for the STARS Vendor & Craft Fair will not be held in the high school this spring, however, organizers are planning a Virtual Raffle in April 2021. This event raises funds for the elementary STARS program (Self Control + Teamwork,+Attitude + Respect= Success) More info. HERE.
