Washington, D.C. Trip for Any Student in AOIT or AP Computer Science (Sunday, 3/1/20-Tuesday, 3/3/20)
- See Holly Harris at CMHS and obtain necessary documents
- Submit $100 deposit by Wednesday, 12/18/19 using this link: https://www.k12paymentcenter.com/
- MUST BE A US CITIZEN TO ATTEND or have Dual Citizenship (US must be one). This is a US Dept of Homeland Security regulation
- US Cyber Command, NSA, HIS, The Spy Museum, and Lockheed Martin are potential site visits.
- Most breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included.
- TOTAL COST ESTIMATE: $325

1. Meredith Impact Scholarships, Meredith College
Award:Tuition Scholarships for first year students, up to $20,000-$23,000 annually

-Strong academic performance
2. Take The Lead Scholarship, Norwich University
Deadline: 12/15
Award: $2,000 scholarship for each year at Norwich University
What are the requirements?
-High School Senior
-Demonstrates leadership qualities
-Must complete online application to Norwich University, supplemental materials, and FAFSA by 12/15 deadline
3. GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship, Reagan Foundation
Deadline: 1/3
Award: Annual $10,000 scholarships to college-bound students

-Demonstrated Leadership
-Strong academic Performance
-Planning to pursue 2 or 4 year undergraduate degree
4. Ron Brown Scholar Program

Award: $10,000 annual scholarship for black/African American students to attend any four year accredited college/university within the united states and pursue any discipline

5. The Coolidge Scholarship
Deadline: 1/16
Award: Full tuition scholarship, awarded annually to any accredited college in the U.S.
What are the requirements?
-High School Junior (class of 2021)
-Demonstrated academic excellence
-Interest in Public Policy
6. Institute Scholarship Program, Virginia Military Institute
Deadline: 2/1
Award: Merit-based scholarship: $5,000 to full tuition at the Virginia Military Institute as a part of the Institute Honors Program.

7. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: 2/1
Award: A four year grant to attend undergraduate school of choice and a mentorship course that provides strategies for success during all four years. Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and financial need

-Part of a minority group
-Demonstrated financial need

2. Yale Young Global Scholars
Where? Yale University
What? Two week summer sessions for current juniors focused in politics, literature, global challenges, or biomedical science

3. Perry Outreach Program, The Perry Initiative
Where? Charlotte, NC
What? One day hands-on program in Charlotte, NC for women who are interested in pursuing careers in medicine and engineering. Event date: 1/11
For: Women grades 10 and up with expressed interest in science, medicine, and/or engineering

4. Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America, LEDA
Where? Princeton University
What? 7 week Summer Institute Program at Princeton: Leadership Training, Writing classes, college guidance, ACT prep, room, board, and travel are fully funded
For: Juniors attending public high school in the U.S. who meet family income, unweighted GPA, and advanced course requirements and are involved in community and/or school

5. 2020 High School Diplomats Program
Where? Princeton University
What? A full scholarship for a current Junior to attend a 10 day summer cultural exchange program with high school students from the U.S. and Japan.

6. Design Camp (Day or Residential), NC State
Where? NC State
What? Week-long program for rising juniors and seniors to introduce the range of studio disciplines offered by the NC State college of design: architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design, art + design, and graphic design. Day camp and Residential camp programs available.

- Global Navigator High School Summer Abroad, CIEE
Where? 30+ locations across the world
What? Dates and fees vary by program. Study abroad for 3-4 weeks over the summer. focused in language learning or a variety of different subjects including STEM, service, conservation, etc. college credit available for language programs. financial need based scholarships available for current juniors.

2. Study Abroad: Rome Pre-College Program, University of Notre Dame
Where? Rome, Italy
What? Available for juniors only: Apply to participate in a 12 day seminar in Italy exploring Rome's history through fields of Art History, architecture, and anthropology. Participants can receive 1 college credit.
