NOTE FROM MRS. LOGAN
We have had some recent issues concerning cell phone use and it disrupting the instructional day. Please help support Holling Heights in implementation of the following cell phone procedures.
Cell phones will not be allowed between 8:30 and 3:45, this includes during lunch and recess. When students arrive in the classroom they will either put their cell phone in their backpack or give it to the teacher for safe keeping. At dismissal phones will be redistributed by the staff. Any phone that is used or visible outside of allowed times will be taken from the student. Phones that are taken will be safely held in the office until a parent can pick it up from school.
Phones can be used before school and after school for appropriate use.
Any violation of the above procedures will be entered as a code of conduct violation for the student. We appreciate your support and please don't hesitate to reach out to Holling with any questions.
2020 Bond Information
On May 12th, 2020 Millard Public Schools is asking voters to consider a bond to address district repairs and maintenance. The average age of Millard’s schools is 38 years old. All together, the district’s buildings are valued at an estimated $700 million dollars. To protect the community’s ongoing investment, the district is asking for a $125 million dollar bond. This would raise the levy approximately one cent. A cent of additional levy would cost an estimated $20 per year on a $200,000 home. The funds would support projects in six areas: safety and security, major renovations, capital equipment replacements, energy efficiency projects, summer maintenance projects and furniture replacements. All 35 schools will be impacted by the bond. Holling Heights will receive around 1.5 million dollars from the bond to support building renovations.
